Failing a test repeatedly 4 tips for improving your score this year
Description
How can you improve your CBSE score in 2022?
There is no doubt that the CBSE Board Exams are one of the most important and one of the hardest exams that students take.
It can be extremely exhausting to fail a subject repeatedly, especially if it is a major one.
Nonetheless, students must understand that failing a subject is normal, since some topics are more difficult to comprehend than others, particularly when multiple subjects are being examined at once.
It is more important to handle this failure than to worry about it.
Hard work is said to be the key to achieving good grades, but it is not the only factor. It is essential that students work on a few key areas in order to improve their grades on a consistent basis. In addition to helping you pass, A+PLUS Online Tutoring has put together a few ideas with which you can score higher as well.
CBSE Paper Pattern
CBSE is known for changing its paper pattern every year. Keeping up with the current CBSE exam pattern and its latest changes is important. Besides your NCERT textbook, follow good publishers' books. For exam point-of-view questions, NCERT Exemplar is a great resource.

Take a moment to Relax and Analyse
If you fail a test, or get lower scores than expected, do not panic, or worry about it. It is a good idea to take a break or sleep for a while.
You should then reflect on your answer paper to identify the mistakes you made and what caused you to fail or score low on the test. Consider asking yourself questions like, Did I understand the concepts correctly? Did my confidence overshadow my performance? Could I have managed my time more effectively?
While it is also important to consider other reasons why you might have failed a test, such as lack of sleep or a poor breakfast before the test, or distractions in the exam hall. By analysing and getting to the root of the problem, we can determine what caused you to fail the test and what you can do to improve in your upcoming test.
Change your expectations and make changes
A good way to learn from your mistakes is to work on them. Creating a new study schedule or updating your study plan after analysing your mistakes will help you perform better on your next exam. Once you have created a study plan, you tend to set high expectations for the upcoming tests, but this is not the right approach, since progression occurs over time and starts slowly. Learning from your mistakes and applying them is a good sign that you are progressing. The best way to be realistic is not to set expectations too high or too low, but to focus on studying.
Stop comparing yourself to others
Think about it… how did you feel the last time you compared yourself to someone else? Did it make you feel any better or worse? It is said that “Comparison is the thief of joy”.
Bea Arthur explains in her TED talk that comparing yourself to others is a result of FOMO (the fear of missing out) and the belief that what you're doing isn't enough.
When you compare yourself to someone else, you either feel inferior or superior, and neither is good. There will always be someone smarter than you, and that is fine. If you receive a lower mark than your peers, do not lower yourself. The best way to get along with your peers is to be happy for them instead of comparing yourself to them best. Nevertheless, it is a waste of time and energy to compare yourself with others when you are better off investing that time and effort into improving yourself better for your upcoming exam.
